Cymbidium flowers have a characteristic lodkovidnuyu lip, decorated with whimsical patterns. Hence the name Cimbidium (from the Greek word kymbion- ladepodobnye, something in the shape of a boat), this due to the characteristic shape of the lips of the flower. Cymbidium leaves long remnevidnye, arcuate ends.
Care: Cymbidium relates to terrestrial orchids. Unlike otorhidei Phalaenopsis, Cymbidium does not like direct sun and heat and need more frequent watering and heavier soil capable of retaining moisture at the roots. For flowering Cymbidium needs differential daytime and nighttime temperatures.
